Philippians 1:27-29 NIV

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved--and that by God. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him. Philippians 1:27-29 NIV

Mark 1:16-20

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 'Come, follow me,' Jesus said, 'and I will make you fishers of men.' At once they left their nets and followed him. When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him. Mark 1:16-20 NIV

Mark 1:10-15

As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: 'You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.' At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert, and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him. The Calling of the First Disciples After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 'The time has come,' he said. 'The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!' Mark 1:10-15 NIV

The Power of Choice

The Power of Choice
Life is all about choice.

There are 2 kinds of people in the church
1. victorious and blessed 2. defeated
Our choices determine our destiny

2 kinds of people in the world today
1. Optimists 2. Pessimists
· You are what you are by choice, not fate
· You have the choice to lay hold of the eternal things
· Walk in the eternal right now

1. Realization must bring forth migration 2 Cor. 5:17
Choice is essential but painful

2. Don’t be a prisoner of the past.
God can make all things new Jeremiah 33:3
The way I was born is not the same way I’m going to die.

4 lepers who changed the destiny of a nation 2 King 7:3-8
· Whatever your call is, sit at the cutting edge like David if you want
to walk a higher level
· The gospel is not for the faint-hearted
· We are called to walk in the supernatural

3.When you know God, you see through the eyes of God

4.Don’t choose death Jeremiah 8:3

The lower you can bend determines how tall you can stand
The rougher the file, the sharper the blade will become
Godliness becomes sharpened as iron is sharpened by iron
Proverbs 27:17

“You will have fulfillment if you have God and your purpose.
I want God and nothing else.” - Ptr. Selven Chetty

The heart of the message:

If you know God, you will see through His eyes. You will see disdain and distraction if you focus on the things around you. The greater the anointing, the greater the trial. Therefore, understand your purpose and destiny. Find it in God.

“Poor is a man who has no money. But poorer is a man who has nothing but money.” God has mapped out our life to be a blessing in the God appointed time (‘kairos’ time).

“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift from God.” Seize the moment.
Wake up, its time to make a choice!

Mark 1:4-8 NIV

And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River. John wore clothing made of camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And this was his message: 'After me will come one more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.' Mark 1:4-8 NIV
